时光荏苒，岁末将至；岁月匆匆，花开花落。华外大家庭走过了2023年的春夏秋冬，所有的期待与收获、盼望与遗憾都已载入成长之册。一幕幕美妙与难忘的时刻，为我们的追梦路上增添了浓墨重彩的一笔。
Look back to 2023, we achived a successful year along with students and parents, teachers and staff, all the shareholders of the FLS community. All the expectations and harvests, hopes and regrets have been recorded in the book of growth.
新校牌，新力量
New School Plaque, New Spirit
沿着“更中国 更世界”的精神脉络，带着“融汇中外”的使命任务，华外的成长已历经九载。2023年9月28日，华外同文外国语学校举行新校牌“焕新”揭幕仪式。
With the spirit of "Embrace China Embrace the world" and the mission of "Achieve Preeminence with the Integration of the Chinese and International", Huawai-Tongman Foregin Language School has been growing for nine years. On September 28, HTFLS held a ceremony to unveil its new school plaque for starting a new journey.
朱子平总校长总结过往：“九年来，我们牢记教育初心，赓续优良传承，坚持‘启发潜能 培育全人’的办学宗旨，铭记‘融汇中外 卓尔不群’的校训精神，彰显‘更中国 更世界’的办学特色，全力打造一所集现代化、优质化、特色化、国际化为一身的高品质学校。”
As the principal Mr. Zhu said: "over the past nine years, we have kept in mind the original intention of education, practice the school mission and educational philosophy and make every effort to build a school that is modernized, high-quality, characteristic and internationalized."
获评“广州市首批教育国际化窗口学校”
Made progress in school internationalization
2023年8月，学校通过了广州市教育局组织的专家评估，成为了广州市首批教育国际化窗口学校，在融合中外优质教育之路上迈出了更加坚实的一步。
We made progress in school internationalization organized by Guangzhou Education Bureau. As the result, Huawai-Tongman Foregin Language School is awarded “the first batch of model school of internationalied education in Guangzhou”.
◆Congratulations！华外获评“广州市首批教育国际化窗口学校”
In the afternoon of October 18, Associate Professor Ms. Ren, a special expert of Guangzhou (Huangpu) education innovation zone for international cultural and people-to-people exchanges visited school and exchanged thoughts and ideas for international cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
At the beginning of November, vice principal Ms. Huang visited Chengdu and sign the contract, in which Huawai-Tongman Foreign Language School and the Experimental School Afffiliated to Sichuan Normal University concluded a sister school for education of international understanding.

10月25日，华外创新融合部（I-EP）PYP高质量顺利完成五年一度的IB复审工作，并收到了IB评审官们的高度评价。
On October 25, (I-EP) PYP successfully completed the IB evaluation and received high praise from the IB judges.

On November, we made progress in characteristic project of winter sports which titled by the Guangdong Province Department of Education.
世界冠军来了
World champions are here
华外重视学生的身心健康，除开足开好常规体育课程外，每年春秋季组织团体趣味运动会与田径运动会。2023年再启新篇章，学校成立了校帆船队，组建校游泳队，开设游泳选修课，先后邀请游泳奥运冠军焦刘洋、羽毛球世界冠军林丹、谢杏芳夫妇亲临华外校园，向同学们面对面传递体育精神，播撒梦想的种子。
The school attaches importance to students’ health. In addition to regular P.E. classes, we organize sports games, build student teams of sailing, swimming and more sport elective courses. We also invited olympic and world champions to school to share stories and spirit of being a champion.

We advocate experiential learning, providing students with more opportunities for active exploration and self-education through a variety of courses and activities. We strive to make learning fun and make it happen in the real world. 2023年，华外加入BSA（英国寄宿学校协会），在住宿生活中更加关注学生的习惯养成、生活技能、身心健康和全面发展。在课余生活中，学校策划了一系列丰富多彩的寄宿生活动，力求为学生提供更全面、优质的教育服务。
华外同文始终致力于打造一支高素质、专业化的师资队伍。2023年，学校加大了师资培训力度，提高了教师的专业素养和教育教学水平。同时，学校积极引进优秀人才，为学校的发展注入了新的活力。
FLS has always been committed to building a high-quality and professional faculty. Professional development of teachers are always one of important works. The school provides more opportunities for teachers professional tranings and workshops in 2023.
